Media Productions primarily focuses on providing instructional design and educational media development for NMSU's numerous statewide outreach programs in partnerships with other campus-wide, regional and national faculty and programs. Math Snacks
Math Snacks are short animations and mini-games designed to help learners "get it". Each snack presents a mathematical concept, particularly those addressed in grades 6, 7 and 8. Ideal for use in a classroom or on your own, they can even be placed on mobile devices for "homework". The accompanying print materials can assist learners in applying their conceptual understanding to math problems.

Science Pirates: The Curse of Brownbeard
Science Pirates: The Curse of Brownbeard is a 3D educational computer game that communicates food safety knowledge in an environment of scientific exploration.
Exergames Unlocked
The Exergame Unlocked project includes a multi-state team of accomplished media education researchers, exercise physiologists, medical professionals and doctoral students. Contributing members are researchers in their fields and have helped launch the use of exergames as tools to combat obesity in their communities and beyond.
New Mexico State University researchers and their partners have been funded to research the impact of exergames, develop and implement specific recommendations for exergame use. As part of that project, this website provides access to resources based on research, sample projects, and input from the exergaming community.

Our team has won numerous national awards, including the CINE Golden Eagle, Addy, Telly, International Wildlife Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Houston International Film Festival, New York Festival, and Ohio State awards. Several documentaries have been distributed in the PBS system.
